Hi! I would like to introduce myself. I am Patricia (Pat) Caraway. I graduated with highest honors from Tarleton State College with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I am certified to teach pre-kindergarten through 6th grade. I have my early childhood certification, resource certification through 12th grade, and my ESL (English As A Second Language Certification).
I have taught 3rd grade here in Gorman since 1988. I have also spent 2 years in special education at the junior high and high school level in the Eastland School System.
I have a vested interest in this community and our school system. All three of my children graduated from Gorman High School and my husband spent twenty-six years teaching vocational agriculture here at Gorman. We have made this community our home since 1970 when my husband began as the vocational agriculture teacher. We own a farm in the Kokomo Community on which we raise vegetable and “show pigs” for students in 4-H and FFA in Texas and Oklahoma.
I appreciate the opportunity to work with your children to help them reach their highest potential in my classroom. I value student success, hard work, and strong character development.
