My name is Marilyn Warren and I teach third grade at Maxfield Elementary. I am a graduate, with honors, from Tarleton State University. I am certified in early childhood through fourth grade.

I am very excited to have this opportunity to teach at the third grade level. I believe that learning is a lifetime process. This process should emphasize good and effective learning skills at a young age. As a teacher, I believe it is very important to provide an environment with good moral values, clear rules and consequences, motivation to learn, students actively engaged in learning, and high expectations of every student

Third grade is a very busy year. This is the first year for the Reading and Math TAKS tests. Although emphasis is placed on reading and math skills, there is a rounded curriculum in language arts, social studies, science, and a little fun as well.

I am looking forward to working with the students, parents, school and community to make this a very successful year.
