Grading Policy and Make-Up Work

Grading Policy

Daily Work and Class Assignments 60%
A minimum of two grades will be recorded in this category every week.
A minimum of ten grades will be recorded in this category every six weeks.

Tests 40%
A minimum of three grades will be recorded in this category every six weeks.

If a student scores below a 60 on a test-that student will be given the opportunity to retest**the higher grade of the two will be recorded.

**This does not refer to correcting a test-this refers to taking another test over the same material. Upon retesting, the student will receive a maximum grade of a 70.



When an assignment is given in the computer lab-it is due that day. If a student doesn’t finish the assignment or chooses not to complete their work for that day-then they will receive a 50 on the assignment until they complete their assignment. If your child falls behinds then it is their job to come to tutorials to complete their work.

HS 7:35-7:55
JH 3:10-3:30

If your child is absent from school, then he or she will follow the guidelines below to make-up work:

Absent One Day One Day to Make-Up Work
Absent Two Days Two Days to Make-Up Work
Absent Three Days Three Days to Make-Up Work
Absent Four or More Days Specific Timeline will Be Given

If your child doesn’t turn in make-up work on the due date as stated above they will receive a zero for the assignment.
