I teach Government/Economics and Geography in the high school. Although we began Economics after Christmas, we will still continue to keep a close watch on the Presidential race. We will have an election project coinciding with the Texas Primaries in March. Hot topics in economics will include banking, credit, the stock market, and taxes. While studying about economics in the business world, our class will learn useful tips to prepare them for their own economic endeavors.
In Geography, we are doing more projects. One look at my walls and ceiling and you can tell the students are really creative. This semester we are covering countries from the eastern hemisphere.
