Hello, my name is Becky Swanner and this year I have the pleasure of teaching Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus to the students of Gorman High School. Mathematics is a passion of mine that I want to share with my students. In allowing them to see my love of math I hope that they will also find that math is a fun and useful course. I believe that math is all around us, in our everyday lives. We cannot be a successful member of society without mathematical knowledge, and it is my goal that any student leaving my classroom has the opportunity to be a successful citizen. Although they may not all gain a love of math, they will have the knowledge necessary to step confidently into their future.
Along with teaching math, I enjoy being the cheerleader coach, the annual staff adviser and the National Honor Society sponsor. And if things aren't busy enough I have my most important job of being a wife and mother to my husband Tim and my three children Kendra, Tyson and Alaina.
I feel blessed to be at Gorman and to be a part of the shaping of the future of the youth of this school.
